How can that be??? Unless you want to open up a Somali shop or something then business is better there as Melbourne Somalis are abundant in restaurants/ shops and what not. Real talk, Perth is a tuulo mate- the whole city is dead by 6pm. You can't find anything in Perth you don't have here at Melly but keep up the Perth propaganda.

Perth: Self reliant Somalis who work for a living. Somalis that integrate with the community and live peacefully.
Melbourne: Violence hood rats fighting each other over suburbs. Still living in the flats 20 years on. Khat chewing males.

To be fair Melbourne and Victoria in general is the best city and state respectively in Australia, Melbourne is a laid-back nice cosmopolitan city, the multicultural city of Australia, its a melting pot.

The somali community is not at all that bad, they own there own business's,Taxi drivers,factory workers,etc

Gang violence among Somalis in Melbourne is almost unheard of, it doesnt exist at all unlike in the States or Europe.
If you visit university campuse's in Melbourne compared to a few years ago, there is a sizeable population in every Uni and they lead the pack in African's attending Uni.

The flats Hey you still have some vietnamese and italian migrants still up there c'mon, Slowly somalis are moving out but they stay not because they want to but because of the fact you have take riba'a to buy a house these days and many are falling in this trap lately.

The media and at times the police have blown small incidents out of proportion giving the community uneccessary press.
