I forgot this one

If you buy a new simcard let a local buy it for you, don't buy it yourself.

As soon as the shopkeeper finds out that you (a foreigner) bought a new simcard he will give your number to local sluts who will call you day in day out

Had to change my number after two days as I received over 50 calls a day from random women

Bring food. It is got to be dried food because they don't allow most liquids on planes. I heard they don't have food in America. I was once told a story of a girl who went there to visit her relatives who ended up dying of starvation.

Key things

All your vaccinations

Hep A,B,C

Dont drink ground water (could catch TB or other water born diseases)

If your going to Bosaaso, Jeema bottled water buy a box of 24, cost around 45 dollars.

Never share food with ANYONE and I'd also only eat food from a box (Mac and cheese if you could pack a couple)

Flashlights, mosquito nets and insect repel.
