NYT Writes an article about a Clan resisting Shabab in Somalia, Must have been a slow day in NYC. Also if Al Shabab have defeated major Clan's let alone a sub clan of a clan, than aint no sub sub clan have a chance to survive. Medina is a secure place and the group that lives there has cleansed the extremists from that degmo. It reminds me of Bermuuda (1991-1996), an enclave in Aideeds SNA-controlled Southern Mogadishu that resisted countless invasion attempts by Aideeds forces at the height of his power. Remember, this was at a time (1991-1996) when Aideeds forces chased other opponents all the way to Kenya and later on defeated the UNISOM troops.

I don't think he vocally supports Al Shabab any-more ( he found out that they are not a Marehan Faction as he used to claim back then )
