Big strong man,

It is not only about saving, it is also about availability...e.g, when 10 women plan to do ayuuto, shaloongo or hagbad of lets us say $500.00 each month.. Every woman gets her $5000.00 one month. The trick is here, if one of them needs the money ight away..she says," can I be the first one to take? So in that case she gets the $5,000.00 right away without interest or any other thing attached to it... This works very well for people with limited income

I find hagbad to be usefull...
in the past my money was tied up in xaraam activities like stock market and currency speculation
but since ive gotten out of those.. with my shirt on my back (barley)

i tend to leave my savings in my bank account..

with hagbad it is only among family and close friends.
you help them out by giving them access to your savings and you benefit by having a lumpsum available for use immedietly without borrowing.

I never understood hagbad either...sometimes they have like 10 people in a $1,000/month hagbad. I know you're supposed to only do it with people you trust, lakiin $10,000 is enough to ruin friendships over

They use to do this at the little shops in Dhagaxbuur, where each day someone would collect money from all the shops, and she would use this as investment capital to buy more products, and when someone was leaving or something they would get a lot of money back.
