Wake Up Call

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Mon Mar 29, 2010 9:54 am

Ever gotten up because of a phone call ? You were deep in your sleep and really enjoying it when someone calls you at 5 am.

I had the most pleasant sleep this morning before I got another Africa call. I wondered what it was about as my friend hardly calls me.

Qoqaane: "Hallo"

Me: "Hello"

Qoqaane: "abo, what was the name of that chick you were trying to holler at ? the one who works for XXXXX."

Me: "Heblaaye, what about her ?"

Qoqaane:"I met her today, does she look like ....."

Me: "Yep, that is her."

Qoqaane: "Wow, she is gorgeous. You weren't kidding. So saxiib, can I 'talk' to her ?"

Me: "Sure, what ever, she is in your city not mine, enjoy."

Qoqaane: "Okay, how is everything else going abo ?"

Me: "Saxiib, its 5 am and I am still asleep, take care."

I couldn't go to sleep after that.

Some people need to be considerate about making phone calls

loooool
Sux AW.

Ive gotten calls while Im sleeping before and I would pick up the phone...have a full conversation with the person and not recollect in the morning.

I would look at my phone after I wake up and sometimes I'll be going through my call log and I'll se like (insertn friend)s' name and I would look at the time...and I would think "why didnt I see a missed call?"
and then I would show that I picked it up.
Then the convo would go something like this:
Me: hey did you call me last night?
Friend: Yea...you talked to me for like 5 minutes
Me: Really?
Friend: mm yea...whats wrong with you
Me:  Nothing.
Friend: you dont remember?
Me: no :|
Friend:
Me: seriously dude...I dont remember
Friend: I just wanted to see if XYZ was goin on this weekend
Me: Yea...why not
Friend: Someoens gonna take advantage of your Zombie sleep
Me: Thats why I leave my phone on silent...I cant risk it.

Naliaa,

That would be creepy...only a few close friends call me after I fall asleep and those are the ones who either live on the other side of the country (time diff) or a diff country all together.
But yea....my ex used to tel me all the time "do you remember what you said last night"
And I would be like "no"
its like reverse drunk dialing.

That's respect that is, AbdiWahab. Not many comrades would call someone in another city to request permission to hit on a former flame of his. You've got these people well trained.

AW,

He called you for that at 5 in the morning? I put my phone on vibrate/silent when I'm about to sleep. No interruptions while I'm in my deep sleep. If there's an emergency, they can call the crib. If it's not important, that shit can wait.

I remember I had my friend call me at 3 in the morning once cuz she was BORED and she wanted someone to talk to. As soon as she said "I'm bored" I told her "Is it an emergency? no? OK marka, khadka iiga bax asbaxad yahay dadka islaamka hakaa jiiftaane"... The next day she calls me EARLY in the morning kulahaa "I still can't sleep dude, I had too much caffeine"

SegsiK,

Ordinarily he calls me when he is leaving the clubs there, at about 11pm our time, 3 am his time.

I do remember telling him about this chick and told him to move up on her. He calls because he wanted to get a feeler about how I felt about this chick and I gave him the go ahead.

I do dislike drunk/mirqaan dialing though. You end up talking with the caller about nonsensical stuff and they divulge information best kept under wraps.
