A lot of people here waan la yaaba. I mean anybody who has any sort of emotional attatchments when taking this test and wanting it to be a certain result is a fool. First of all, people evolve and it doesn't mean jack shid if You were from a different race 50,000 years ago. Bottom line is Somalis are well known today, as a unique subgroup and whether they were part of others in the past is irrelevant. Ofcourse from a historical/educatioinal spectrum I think all Somalis should take it so we can put hundreds of years of oral tradition against science and see if they match. Whether they do or do not match I really won't care one bit. Ilahay made us who we are bottom line, and nobody is better or smarter than anybody else

The Somali language is as old if not older than the Oromo language meaning the Somali speakers and Oromo speakers are not the same but do come from one source. How could Oromo have been Somali or Somali have been Oromo when the unique features of each ethnic group are as old as the other?

Oromo are our closest kin. We were once part of the greater Gadaa before branching off and slowly forming our own distinct identity.

I suppose then Somali is a dialect evolved from Oromo formed by the off shoot which separated instead of a recognized equal to Oromo meaning the Somali speakers are as old as the Oromo. You are an activist and I would like to know why. What we are talking about has no place for activism, just cold hard facts. If activism would work, Christian Europe would have inducted the Semitic languages into Indo-European.
