Digging Up Graves

Postby Shirib » Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:07 pm

Ok destroying shrines on top of graves is one thing, but where did Al Shabaab get the idea that they were allowed to dig up dead people who were already burried?

If I was a respected scholar/sheikh/owliyo, and for some reason some people were worshiping my grave or associating it with shirk, I would want my grave to be removed and buried to an unknown location.

I've heard saxaaba destroying shrines and things built on top of graves. But is it Islamic to dig up a dead person?

If the cemetery is retaken by the TFG, Ahlu-Sunnah or other pro-siyaaro groups, the shrine will be rebuilt, and people will go back to grave worshiping or association with shirk. Now, whose scholar/sheikh/owliyo would have wanted that? If I was one, I would bless those who have removed my remains and buried it in an unknown grave.

I don't think somalis use coffins? it is utterly disgusting to remove a dead who's buried without a coffin. manarab do you have proof that it is islamicly permissible to remove a grave?

yea the part that shocked me is they dug up the grave and took the remains out.

I don't think that is allowed anywhere in Islam, its going too far
