Eritreans

Postby paidmonk » Thu Apr 15, 2010 5:30 am

I was flipping through a collection of EPLF photos. Come to think of it, if you wanna see what peaceful Somalia was like, look at Eritrea in the past 20 years. I am very jealous. The book was full of healthy and even a lot of sexy female fighters, women who could dominate the NYC catwalk but instead they were digging trenches and smiling with their rifles in hand. And above all they love the fuck out of their country and they don't even have a history, religion nor culture together.

Discuss.

Oh, and for the guys, here are some nice photos. :)

Very patriotic people, so much so that they pay a monthly tax back to their country even though they reside in the west. Different religions, tribes etc but get along for the love of their country. Somalia needs to take notes.

Their Bond was created and solidified due to a common percieved threat  Ethiopia.

Somalis as a whole need a similar threat that is a non somali element  Ethiopia or Kenya or even Yemen. Even a group such as Al-Shabaab could create the bonds reqiured if their effect was uniform and impacting on all somali regions equally.

It is a shame they are localised to south somalia they present an opportunity to trigger a unified pro-somali agenda. If only they were present in the Ogadeen instead of the South as ogadeen borders with P.land, S.land, NFD and Somalia then they would have constituted sufficient threat to all regions forcing them to work together for their common good.

Sometimes i feel like others have things to preserve and Somalis dont; their culture, dignity, religion, honor, etc. and Somalis only care about one thing, one person, in their qabil. the rest go to hell. The Eritrean struggle is legend, their are books written about how these people held through the storm and waited for the pyrrhic victory. its bitter sweet. i think the old dictator is starting to eat that up, the AF dude. He is turning a mighty struggle into isolated nation.

Every Western Eritrean family I met, Muslim or not, pay money to the ERITREAN GOVERNMENT monthly. Heck, I even know a Yemeni family with Eritrean blood, who send money to the Gov there. Their Nationalism is amazing. I respect these folks, plus they do not have any imperial ambitions in Somalia, and every Eritrean I've met have some sort of affinity for Somalis

'' behind every great men there are great women''

behind every backward, qabiilist, unwadanis with low self esteem and suicidal tendencies there are naaging, whinning and unsupportive women.

i take my cumaamad off to Eritereans women and nations as a whole.

Its funny Somalis really like Eritreans but they hate us....walahi no joke if a Eritrean girl marries a Somali man the Eritrean community wont attend the wedding theres a real big hatred for us from what Ive seen in Melbourne even though I must admit their girls do like somali men.

To your face they like you my friend but behind your back they hate Somali"s. Yaa there been a lot of cases here where Eritrean girls have run away from their families to be with a somali guy walahi theres one case where the Eritrean mother went to the Somali families house asking for their daughter back only for the somali guys mother to say no we are not giving her back. So shit like that has turned them against us but its really not even our fault a lot of Eritrean chicks wont date Eritrean men but will leave everything for a somali one kinda reminds me of the somali chicks in london with the black brehs.

Well the hate is all down to qabil.....but still I find it rather amusing how majority of us consider them brothers when the reality is very different.

ps. Im refering to the Muslim Eritreans by the way cause the qaalo ones are no different then the Habashi Ethiopians.

Abdi,

Its not just Eritreans, but Ethiopians too. Somehow they love us Somali Dudes

Laakin I wonder why Eritreans would hate Somalis? We don't share a border, haven't fought any wars, etc.?
