Dawwa, is this where your Ancestor come from??

Postby TheLoFather » Sun Apr 18, 2010 10:12 am

After coming across your post where you claim that you DNA analysis has proven that you are NOT a native Somali, it came to me that you may well be or rather your ancestor may well have been SUMERIANS.

Evidence of the presence of African people in ancient Southwest Asia, particularly in the country now known as Iraq, stretches far back into antiquity. The Greek writer Homer, for example, describes African people referred to as "Ethiopians" (meaning those ''dark skinned'') as "dwelling at the ends of the earth, towards the rising and setting sun." The Greek historian Ephorus wrote that "the Ethiopians were considered as occupying all the south coasts of both Asia and Africa, divided by the Red Sea into Eastern and Western Asiatic and African."
A very important part of Southwest Asia is the country that we now call Iraq. In truth, Iraq has had an African presence for thousands and thousands of years. Indeed, the first civilization of Southwest Asia, known as Sumer and located in Southern Iraq (formerly Mesopotamia "the land between the two rivers") was dominated by Black people.

"What became of the Black people of Sumer?' the traveler asked the old man, for ancient records show that the people
of Sumer were Black. `What happened to them?' `Ah,' the old man sighed. `They lost their history, so they died."

It has nothing to do with Black Africans. The original carriers were bonafide Middle Easterners.

J2b = High frequency in Yemeni Jews and some Habesha (who got it from Ancient Yemenis who migrated to the Ethiopian highlands)

^Most likely sources of where I got it from. It originated in the fertile crescent but it gradually migrated to other places such as Yemen and Ethiopia.

In Somalia it is extremely rare

dawwa,
No one has denied your Mesopotamian connections. The first civilization of Southwest Asia, known as Sumer and located in Southern Iraq (formerly Mesopotamia "the land between the two rivers") was dominated by Black people.

Can you explaine your black skin ( i'm assuming you being average Somali). I think that you have obtained the so called J2, as a result of the Samurians migration and mixed with aryan people of europe.
If you look at the map i posted you will see that it has a lot in common with yours. where the higher percentage is concentrated is where the SUMERIAN civilization was.

Twisted,

sxb the somali version of that proverb is in the making, give it couple of decades before its completion.
