Majority of my friends in the military, they say Army gets way more than Marines and that's what research leads you to, but most of them are brainwashed into loving their Army positions after being denied a spot in the Marines. Years of them trying to recruit me and their military jargon has gotten me well-learned about the career aspects of the military.
Army is way more flexible than the other divisions, those other divisions are only for a few who have specialties. Army soldiers are mostly about the money before the job so there's a lot of perks in there, their job is also very civilian-oriented since they're mostly reserves, and they often do other tasks outside of regular training and deployment like recruitment. A friend of mine recruited a guy, got a $2000 bonus on top of a rank bump and a salary bump, he's 19 and advancing easily up the ladder, close to outranking a few unlucky slackers I knew who were in this shit for 2 years now.
If I could go back I'd probably join the army, the guys I know you wouldn't even tell from regular students, their job is like part-part-part-time and time flies, they'll do max 2 deployments before their term is over or the war is over.
