lol@ Dalton does your avatar mean that you attend MIT or that you share the respect which most of us have for it?

PO There is a theory that Adam and Hawa were only souls created in heaven, when they sinned they were banished to earth and entered the body of the homo sapiens. Interesting enough but then the question would be since there were other homo sapiens around why is adam considered the first man created? Also the bible talks about cain, adam's son who killed his brother abel, running away to another city and marrying a woman who lived there. So then adam and hawa's family weren't the only humans on earth. However is it that they were the only ones who had knowledge of God and a developed conscience while all the other homo sapiens were just well developed neanderthals? So then does that mean the reason that Adam and Hawa were special was because they were the first souls to be created and given comprehension of the world and therefore the only ones who could make an informed decision between right and wrong? But then that would mean we are not all actually bani adam so that theory is flawed unless of course you can be bani adam because the rest of the homo sapiens emraced adam's ways and they share the conscience that God gave Adam?

I'm just ranting but if I ever get the opportunity to study Islam properly, for me after riba, creation is the most interesting topic.

BV I'll get back to you on what you said right not I have to go to a doc's appointment :|

Ok I'm back
The Qur'an describes how Allah created Adam: "We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape..." (15:26). And, "He began the creation of man from clay, and made his progeny from a quintessence of fluid" (32:7-8). Thus, human beings have a fundamental attachment to the earth.
:|

Where they christian who came up with that theory?

Maybe, if humans who lived around the time of nabi nuux were considered extremely big then so were the animals. Even nabi Ibrahim, who came after, has very large footprints.

How is carbon dating "haram"?

Oh, wait, you're the same person who thinks blatant racial-profiling isn't racial-profiling!

Never mind, I'd rather not hear your logic.

Do you never wonder about it though?

PO technically speaking christians believe that the universe was created in 6 earth days, that adam was created on earth on the 6th day and that God rested on the 7th day which is why the sabbath should be a day of rest. (hence the 6 earth days belief) I actually read it from an Islam source that muslims believe adam was created in heaven and banished to earth. The only christian related fact in what I said was the story that cain married a woman in another city hence adam's family weren't the only humans alive at the time, the story is somewhere in genesis.

Yes the Quran actually says that God created Adam and from him Hawa and from them mankind. However the fossils are real and you can't ignore the Australopithecus or the Homo erectus. Also what of the genetic evidence that all men migrated from Africa and the dna with the least number of markers belongs to the Khoi san of southern Africa, technically that makes them the earliest homo sapiens. I am sure Islam has an explanation for all this, maybe it's time for me to invest in some Harun Yahya cds :?
