I think if he has the power to pick the prime minister, he has the power to sack him.
Omar abdirashid is becoming another warlord, its better for him to take the sack, otherwise, they gonna plant a bomb in his car next time and say he was killed by Al-shabaab.
he is becoming a warlord ( although he has never killed anyone or unjustly ruled anyone) but if he doesn't "take the sack" ( even though sharif has no power/authority to sack) he will be killed? what does that make the tfg? :? dude, do you ever read what you write or do you like not making sense?
What I don't get is if the PM fails, doesn't this also mean the entire government has failed? The best solution for Somalia would be for all the three ( the PM, Speaker and President) to resign and for the so-called cabinet to go home. This government is the most pathetic weak and incompetent government ever put together.

Cumar Cabdirashid, the underdog, pulled the strong 'comeback kid' punch. my head is still swirling with how he got sharif friends to come to the press conference. that cumar is content with the parliament deposing him after they appoint a new leader is Sharif's only peaceful course. anything other than that (he will still make the trip to Ethiopia) will make things worse. sharif ahmed can let this punch heal, along with swallowing his pride, and wait for his turn couple of months down the road.

The best solution is Somalis 1st stop listening to Ethiopian general Gabre, Ethiopian foreign minister Mesfin, Ethiopian PM Zenawi, [the amabassdor of the powers that be] in Nairobi, and all of the corrupt UN officials. It is time Somalis who understand the big game that is played on them and genuinely care about their country take their leadership. Most importantly, we need people who 1st and foremost fear Allah and their whole purpose of being leaders is to serve the people.

You know Somalia has changed drastically when the son of Shermake a democratic statesman who shook hands with one of the respected and admired presidents of the U.S-- is being pushed around by a man whose father cleaned cow dung.

Such a fairytale.

TL,

I was responding to Ironmans idiotic logic, I don't really care for this government though. I think the best thing for Omar is to take the sacking and move on. The tfg 2.0 is a joke & tfg 3.0 will be an even bigger joke.

I said that the day the Djibouti accord was signed, and a school teacher made President of perhaps the most complicated country on earth with 500 members of Parliament. Good to see you caught on to something that was foreseeable long ago. I guess then you were blinded by an Abgaal President in villa Somalia.

Let me do the math :

1- Caydiid Vice President Tuur
2- Cali Mahdi vise president ?? can't recall.
3- Salaad Boy , prime minister Galaydh and Abshir.
4- Cabdilaahi Yuusuf , prime minister Geedi and Nuur.
5- Sheekh Shariif, Prime minister Cumar.

5 president and 7 vice/p/prime ministers and around 4 or 5 speakers of the house.,

And somalis will still welcome every new goverment with fresh memories and ululation and tribal fair as usual and time goes on and its been 20 years so far, little girls who were born during Ali Mahdi years are now full ripe single mothers.
