Thanks everyone and greetings to all the ladies, Adanna the humane civilized swedish, Studente the Shoe-Lover(strangely she comes across as Basra), and Just_Passing whom I haven't seen for more than a year. I am surprised she logged in that much without me knowing Laughing

Linoheart.

I am shocked by the uncanny similarity between us on this issue bro! Skipping classes costed me good grades for many semesters I can't tell you how many. Not that I couldn't get a good grade but whatever I got was reduced one grade letter because of missing class just one day over the accepted class truancy Laughing Say, the teacher accepts six days maximum for a student to be absent from class, my problem had been just adding the seventh day after I use all the six Laughing One time I had to visit the math teacher's office and tell him straight he should forgive me and give me my "A" instead of the "B" for punishment. I am not proud of that but working 47hrs a week night time makes it very difficult to go to school day time and be a competent student. This job of mine is the best and pays for my education. I need it more than I need the school and can't quit. I endured the hardships and the insomnia I acquired from skipping the needed sleep to go to school, so I am gonna have to complete the effort. My major is Engineering, Mechanical inshallah.

Qudhac-Meygaag.

Waa ku salaamey bro, reerkii iiga warran? Riimis maxaa la dhahaa? Sounds nasty anyway but thought I should ask Laughing

I only go to the classes that i'm interested in or have to like math class. I have never missed a single class of my psychology or geography. I love social science courses even though i'm a business major.
Last semester i set a new record! I went to my management class 8 times. 1st day, 2 class days and the 4 exam days. I ended up with a "B"..the professor is cool and he knows he is boring so he is not a stickler when it comes to attendance like the moron that kicked me out. I just wanted to be over with man so i don't have to go to 8' oclock classes.
Are you in the u.s or uk?

Bro LIONHEART, That is exactly my sentiment, be done with the damn thing and don't look back for a while. I live in the US btw. And congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Qansagabeyle.

Getting a degree is a job security depending on what you study. Some jobs are always available while others are not. Lately though, for many muslims who have excellent education end up having trouble getting jobs in well-to-do companies. Particularly companies that deal with sensitive products. The war on terrorism made it difficult for people to get hired. A guy who has a master's degree in material science works with us as a tech because he couldn't land a job at the companies that would have employed him had it not been his islamic name. they all shied away from hiring him for fear of government intrusion or for their own prejudice and fear. All his other friends who changed their names from islamic to western got jobs.
