A good friend of mine has told me the reason why Palestinians aren't succeeding or gaining victory over their enemy is because they still hold on to nationalism..they're fighting for nationalism. Until, they abandon nationalism iyo waxyaalahaas they will not succeed. The whole of the Muslim world is in disarray because of this nationalism iyo patriotism disease..you just have to look at Somalia as an example. Qabiil has destroyed it..and until this day they are fragmented and each qabiil wants to create its own autonomous state. Until Muslims all over the world wake up..and unite under ISLAM..there will be no victory for Muslims at all. Wake up ya Muslimeen iyo Muslimaat nationalism iyo patriotism is the disease that's killing us slowly..the divide and conquer strategy has well and truly been played on us by our enemies.

Actualy Firefly in the case of Gaza that ain't the case. Hamas who are in charge and were elected by the people of Gaza are not secularist as most Arab Nationalists are.This is why the west is pushing for Fatah which are the Nationalists.

Either your good friend needs to go back to the drawing board, or you're misquoting him/her, for its EXACTLY the opposite . The reason why Palestinians have NOT succeeded or gained "victory over their enemy" is because Israel has been shoving its zionism down their throats since day 1 by LITERALLY mapping out a fictitious "nation" on paper, over one that already was - Palestine. In fact the Palestinians are "too much" of Muslims to give up on areas that they deem to be HIGHLY important for their faith. Case in point -> #1 issue of contention today over the creation of the Palestinian state being that Palestinians want "East Jerusalem" as their Capital. That's where all the holy sites are and everything that they hold dear. Israeli's would NEVER allow that since, they too have religious sites there. Believe me, had your argument had been true, and it was more abt nationalism for Palestinians, they'd have had a state over 3 decades ago.

The two state solution, today, looks as bleak as that time the old white regime in South Africa's attempted to create homelands for the ethnicities it did not want to share resources with. Israel simply Offering the Palestinians the bits of Palestine the Zionists don't want seems highly unlikely to be accepted. (Saying "highly unlikely" of course, because you never really know what to expect when u have fake leaders like Abbas "representing u" who could very well be dumb enough to sign something like that away. ) We shall see though, insha'Allah.
