Amethyst - Somali pirates = Israeli navy  That's messed up.

The pirates that needs exposure are the Nigerian pirates. Two years ago, they were trailing behind the Somali pirates in the PIRACY LEAGUE. Indonesian pirates are up there too.
Way ahead of you, cousin. Imma start opening up a website exposing Other "exotic" Pirates. lol. Hell go down with cams and shit doing an Expose as a CNN I-reporter, and blow these Bstards outta the water. Literally. Damn Media talking about SOMALIANS, no more.
You beat me to it   Most of the Cadaan friends of mine, speak highly of the Somali pirates. You can have their testimonies incorporated to your website.

well, you're actually proving my point(perhaps inadvertently). it appears you've acquired knowledge of the subject in question(the bible/torah) and have arrived at the conclusion that it is "pointless"..........

was your intentions for gaining this knowledge of scholarly pursuits, for a more meaningful discourse with people of other faiths...or out of selfish tendencies to further your personal knowledge?...... whatever your purpose, you are no doubt in possession of some form of know how regarding biblical texts........point being, wouldn't you prefer others(ie the poster) to channel similar avenue of learning for his own enlightnment....i think we're all entitled to that...

ps, i do agree with you that learning about other faiths should be in conjunction with the pursuit/intent to further/enhance knowledge of Islam and Qoran.
The knowledge I have of the Bible isn’t because I’ve read the bible. Quite simply by listening to Islamic Scholars like Sheekh Ahmed Deedaat aun, Khalid Yasin and Sheekh abdurahim Green to name but a few. You don’t need to read the bible to know about the bible. The Quran alone will tell you the many errors the Dhaalimiin (Christians) made in the bible. Some more deliberate than others. I have no problem with someone reading the bible, but it’s my advice to the poster or anyone that in order to learn the bible you have to have Islamic knowledge first and you doing it for Islamic purpose (public or private). Alaahu Aclum.

It's almost impossible to memorize the bible in its entirety. Not the priests could even do that. It's not like the Quran, which is a Miracle!

Earlier today while launching with some friends we got into theological discussions(dont know how or why we just found our selves in it), the following question came up and i wonder whether you could enlighten us.

Is it permissible for a Muslim to read and memorize the christian bible or the jewish torah?

Nothing with reading the Bible or Torah, gaining knowledge is not xaraam, the Bible minus the whole Jesus son of God fabrication, and minus a couple of inconsistencies here and there is not a bad read at all, I haven't read the Jewish Torah though beezrat hashem I will do it.

Absolutely  If you memorized the Koran, it is also wise to memorize what other faiths have..Specially if you are into religion discussion with others...How can you debate with people if you are ignorant?

Ahmed Dedat..Knew both the Bible and the koran even though he was a convert..
I don't think ahmed deedat was a convert. i remember him explaining why he started learning the bible at a very young age and it was because some missionaries always came into his dad's shop and harrased him, so he started learning about the bible to refute them, i could be wrong though

There is a hadith about how the prophet shouted at Omar and abubakar, after they bring him a piece of paper from the old bible, He told them something like "what do you want from that, didn't God bring you down the Quran" and they never look at it again.
