James Dahl You there? I don't have anybody even close to the exact same as mine, do my dys codes sound familiar? :o

Oh, just figuired out me and Ironman are off by only two dys codes, does that mean we share a recent common anscestor?

an exact 12/12 match
50% probability that the MRCA was no longer than 7 generations --7 x 30= 210 years
90% probability that the MRCA was no longer than 23 generations -- 23 x 30= 690 years
95% probability that the MRCA was no longer than 29 generations--29 x 30 = 890

I believe so yes, you have the exact same 12/12 match with the Warsangeli guy and one of the Majerteen fellows.
Plus, 13 out of the 201 Somalis in the Hallenberg 2005 study match your markers.

James this is confusing. So us having the exact same repeats would mean we would have to be real real close r. ight? As a marehan I meet up with warsangeli and mj about 25 to 30 names. Doesn't make sense plus arnt me and hyper the same?

No hyper has 16 repeats on the rapidly-mutating 389-II marker while you have 18 repeats there, and 15 repeats on the much slower mutating DYS385a marker, but you have 16 repeats there.

It's certain you share an ancestor the question is how long ago. Having a 12/12 match means it's certain you share an ancestor say, within 50-100 generations, but to say with any certainty if you share an ancestor sooner than that requires more markers to compare.

You don't need to take a test to know you're a boon.

Amen Man. Now Murax is focusing on Lower relations as in how clans are related rather than if he is of Arab origin :D Jk.

Aniga dhimman Inshallah. I will go one step further and do both paternal and maternal since my parents are of two different clans. Will take time. Am saving money LOL.
