Be honest even if you look Ugandan
There is an heighten sense of self-hatenimo unpinning this question.

For some reason some Somalis think I'm Habesh. For example, I went to the school library last week where I had to sign in at the front desk to use a computer and Somali employee said:
"Salaamanaa, Oromo?"
Me: "No. :) "
"Eritrean?"
Me: "No..."
"Ethiopian?"
Me: "No..."
"Where aar yuu farom?"
That's when I gave him the face and said "Somalia :? "... I printed my papers and when he gave it to me he kept saying "Tanamana kalani ksjkaj" he basically kept speaking xabashi to me. That annoyed the shit out of me and he could tell so he followed by saying "Waan iska kaa dhibayaa abaayadiis"... I just grabbed my papers and walked off!   Sucks when your own people think you're not one of them sometimes.

Self-hating is the most insidious and pervasive problem somalis have... be proud of the way you look instead of thinking, looking like others makes you more attractive than the average east african or west african....lol

This is according to your interpretation, for your info why are you defensive?
If I was self hating I would change my name to Tyrone and love attending black history events and would mix with non somalis 24/7 and trying to avoid somalis at all cost but I haven't done so in it?
