   Whatever mate. I see your not making any predictions on United for this season. Yeah, best not say much about them...lest you embarrass yourself like the last time.

Perdiction were not far off. I perdicted the 3 consective title winning seasons and how Arsenal would always finish empty handed. Also I was only one point off anyway, last season and only a defensive injury crisis prevented utd from making it four.

Personally cant blame fabregas for wanting to leave, a player of his calibre should be winning trophies, not aiming for top four finishes lol.

How about this for a perdiction:

Arsenal to finish empty handed (not really a perdiction though)
United to win the league again
Rooney and hernandez to form a devasting partnership
City to get a top four finish at the expense of either lpool or arsenal.

lol@law, best iyo Charlton.. my grandad said they were xaar
Silva is hardly a world champ, playing 5 minutes of each game at best. Plus the disgrace of del bosque tryna bring him on as a sub at the 93rd min lol, jheez even Navas had more minutes and influence. Silva is a winger and will probably get outmuscled if he ever played in the center of midfeild, hence city are still lacking a player maker.
Nobleman, do you play football? are you good? cos you think like them cadaan players lol

like Arry would say.. Silver the lad is Fantastic..and he aint just a winger

and how can you forget Andrei Kanchelskis £650,000 sold to everton for 5mil.. he was united top goal scorer 94-95
not anymore with the singings like these, (Aleksandar Kolarov, Yaya Toure and Jerome Boateng) their defence looks pretty decent plus with silva tevez and torres should make heavy weight for the title this year round
yea it looks pretty ok even though i dont think boateng is better then what they already have

Yeah same ole arsenal. Feb will hear Londoner and co crying the same tune of 'injuries, youngsters and ref blunders'. I prefer the league to be honest, so fergie can truley knock lpool of their perch, even though i'd love fergie to get 3 champions league titles.

Yeah of course I play brah, Aint just an arm chair fan. How many spanish wingers came to the premiership and floped? Reyes, riera to name a few and Silva is hardly bigger than the two. I can picture it already, wet and cold november afternoon, city take a trip to stoke city, silva looks bemused and wonders why the fock he left the sun and football of valencia to be playing in such a game lol, he wears gloves in the english sun of May and complains about being home sick lol.

Best, charlton and law are all legends. Best is one of the best ever, Law is the all time leading goal scorer for united and charlton was world and european cup winner.

Walahi when I was young Kanchelskis and lee sharpe were my favourite players.

loool comon man, Spurs qualifying for the champions league proper will be an outstanding acheivement for them lol. Them fringe players have more champs league experience than modric, defoe, huddleston, bale etc, all your greatest players.

Moratti should really keep Balotelli. He'll end up being worth more than the 30 million

Nobelman,
Cantona was far from a modest signing. He had won the league with Leeds and it was a shock to everyone when he was sold to United. You are right about United relying on their youth but that was in the past, my friend. Has there been any good United youth players in the past ten years? Gary-bloody-Neville still plays for you, mate.

Nani was bought for over ten million as an eighteen year old. Ronaldo was also bought for over ten million as an eighteen year old. Evra was the captain of the Monaco team before United bought him. Vidic was an established player for Serbia and well regarded by many before United bought him. Van Der Sar? Berba? Rooney? Come on, my friend, we are not talking about Ryan Giggs here.

PB, all those players you mentioned can still be considered modest signings. Ronaldo may of been eighteen, but there are loads of young players signed for much more. Evra and Vidic were much cheaper than the going rate, established or not and can in no way be comapred to what man city are doing right now.

As for cantona, yes 1.2 million was quite a bit of money in 92, but signing from their rivals was def transfer masterstroke from fergie.

If you look at united success over the last 10 years and more, the class of 96 were the main stay and most crucial players throughout this whole time.

Half the premiership players at one point or another came through uniteds ranks. from shawcross, ebanks blake to players like frazier campbell. The pressure for success at united as stifled these kids chances, all decent players, but unable to make the immediate cut for instant success.

PB liverpools last academy graduate was probably mellor and gerrad before that. That sucks expecially considering the youth talent in the north west where everton have managed to develop.

Not that much different to United, mate. And the ones you mention were not stifled, they were just rubbish (like Liverpool's Mellor and the Blackburn left back - can't remember his name now).

Twelve million for an 18 year old Ronaldo is not modest by any stretch of the imagination. Fourteen million for an 18 year old Nani is NEVER modest (actually, fourteen million for the current Nani is not modest).

United had their day, my friend. The well has dried up and old red nose only has Hernandiz & Smalling to show for it (Smalling?). The mighty reds (the only reds) are going through a period of transition and radical Roy is promising to shake the place up (our youth team played quite well against Kaiserslauten the other day). We shall surprise many teams this coming season. And if Roy gets a bloody left back, we might (just might) win the league (the Carlsberg curse has been lifted).
