I thought he won 3 gold medals. He is a good runner. I wish he was more consistent though. But he seems to be at his prime right and I would like to see him beat the Kenyans and the Ethiopia in the internationals. European track tournament are not that deep.
dude lets stick to the EU compe he will never beat Kenyans or Ethiopians.

But he has the potential to be come SL next minister of Sports :sland:
I think Somalis, like the Kenyan and Ethiopians, have what it takes to be great long distance runners. One of my friends in high school but the best 1 mile and 2 mile runner in the state and basically still holds all the records most of the long distance events in the state. Unfortunately wuu waashay and that pretty much ended his bright future as a long distance runner. Not too many Somali kids take up track unlike the Ethiopians and Kenyans. In Ethiopia track and field is huge and they hold tournaments for it all the time and they broadcast it on ETV. Hopefully Mo Farah will inspire more Somali kids to take up running as they have better chance of becoming greats in this sport than any other sport. As for Mohamed Farah, good luck to the brother. The Kenyans and Ethiopians are good but no one is undefeat-able.

I think it is disgraceful he paraded a foreign flag let alone a foreign unrecognized ethnic flag when he should have given credit to the flag that raised him, educated him, he represents in the competition, and made it possible for him to be where he is at.

^^ He waved the British flag first and yesterday he only raised that and not the SL flag. The SOmaliland flag is not a big deal. But MO'S achievement should be celebrated by all SOmalis.

Is there a link between mental illness and sports in the somali community?

All the 3 best runners from my city have all developed schizophrenia. May Allah ease their time in this duniya.

At the end of the day, there's no place like home every man knows his roots and mo showed that by waving the Somaliland flag and the Union Jack flag.

When you spend most of your time trying to outpace a group of people that are chasing you, it's no wonder you become schizophrenic.

The picture on the fist post is photoshopped. The SL flag was not even clear when he picked it up.
