WAM Abu Dhabi, 8th Sept. 2010 (WAM) -- President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan lastnight exchanged best wishes over a telephone call with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, on the advent of Eid Al Fitr.

Meawnhile, Sheikh Khalifa received a telephone call from President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh.

President Guelleh congratulated Sheikh Khalifa on the advent of Eid Al Fitr and wished him good health and the UAE people more progress and prosperity under his leadership.

The whole Australia is going to EID on Friday. If this is true, it is like the 10th time this has happened.

Oxi look at my link and you'll understand why, you guys won't be seeing the new moon until thursday night which means you will eid on friday same with some of the people in the USA.

someone said if you fasted on the Wednesday, Eid is on Thursday, but if you fasted on the Thursday, Eid is on Friday. lets just wait and see.

I was told by someone who lived in Saudi Arabia for a long time that a Saudi King will never let Eid be on a Friday because they vehemently believe that if such happens the Saudi Royals will lose power, talk about superstitions!!!

lol i remember that u mentioned that you fasted a day after us, so if the eid is on thursday you fasted 28 days and a month has 29 or 30 days (islamic month) baxar baa ku jirtaa
