It seems like everyone who was anti-Ethiopian in 2007 is now in support of an Ethiopian intervention in Xamar. Back when I supported Ethiopia (for good reason) everyone was up in arms, but now they see the alternative, which is just constant war. Me and many forumers agreed in 2007 that Ethiopia was the first force to pacify Somalia since the breakout of civil war.
The date is today, in 2010, with Somalia still in a state of war and all sides at a point where they cannot make gains, an intervention from Ethiopia would definitely swing the conflict in one direction strong enough to bring about some level of order to this chaos. At the moment, the diaspora is fully in support of foreign intervention from a strong neighbor like Ethiopia, they see their short-sighted positions in the past and have come to accept the help of their neighbor.
