In either case, it is very low on their part if they are basing their hatred towards Al-Shabaab on backward clannish propaganda.

Any authority that returns the property to its original owners in Somalia is doing a great job for resolving one of the obstacles to national reconciliation and I think that authority whoever it may be should be commended. In the 6 months when Islamic Courts Union was controlling the South and Central Somalia, they have actually returned so many properties to its original owners. It was great accomplishments in those days and it is great accomplishments today if Al-Shabaab is returning the properties to its original owners. They have done in all regions under their control and inshallah they will do it other areas should they seize new areas.

The long running Somali civil war needs a closure and the returning of properties to its original owners is one step in the right direction.
