Does Religious Sectarianism Get to You ?

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Thu Sep 23, 2010 4:46 am

Do you feel strange hanging out with different Islamic sects ? Do you become suspicious of someone based on their sect ?

I can't help it. I have a deep phobia of Ikhwans. I am uncomfortable around them and avoid being near them. It was strange to discover that a relative had turned Ikhwani recently. From that moment on, I avoid being around him and don't even contemplate going to his house or eating any meals with him. When I see women with jalabiibs and niqaabs or men with long beards and capris, I become alert and keep an eye on them. Its like they are the 5th column, an unseen enemy.

Yeah it's kinda creepy when they start doing weird stuff. Like when a shia asks you not to say 'Mahdi' in front of them because they have to stand up. That made me want to crack up but I couldn't because it would have been rude
