Qorraxay,

For the interest of your whole family it is better to get along with him. Specially if he is not a monster. Remember you love your mother, for her sake try to love him too. He maybe the dad of your half-sisters/brothers, for their sake try to respect him. This will help the whole family. You just try to think and ask yourself, is what he is asking you to do is good for you or not? For example, if he tells you "Don't go out late", "Study your lessons", "Help your mom", "Dress properly" all these and more are for your good...

It is common that usually kids don't appreciate when their parents place rules and restrictions on them, but they appreciate when they grow up and when there is a step-parent in the house it is more difficult..There is a tension usually...So please try to be a good girl and look things at the positive side  You will be fine :rose:

My mothers husband is my father :)

It is awesome if a single mother remarries, and it is childish if the kids aren't happy with it.

A Muslim woman shouldnt marry a second time if she gets divorced, for the sake of her children. but if she does, her ex-husband has the right to take their children. so divorced women should put their chidlren first.
