Why am I not allowed to post or private message?!?!

Postby jenavive » Tue Oct 12, 2010 11:17 am

Hello-

Why am I not allowed to post anything and my private message center isn't enabled?!? CAN ANYONE HELP ME!?!?! I am obviously unable to contact any administrator or moderator to fix this, so please someone help me!?!?

****
I recently tried to post this:
So I am new to the forums. I had a lot of hope that I would be able to talk to new people and get different perspectives on Somalis, their lives, and culture.

I also wanted to contact some individuals (Mr. Dahl - regarding the wiki maps) but my PM center is disabled. So could someone please tell me how in the world I am supposed to contact an administrator or moderator with that function gone??

I previously posted and of course that post was deleted. So this one may count as a violation of the forum rules but I would really hope that someone could help me out as this is my only way to interact with members.

Thank you all for your time - I hope to become a regular member here.
****** And this is what was sent back to me to tell me my post was denied.

Reply email to that same email (admin@somalinet.com). You're able to post I can see, so you can ask for your PM to be enabled.

Indeed, this post was approved quite to my astonishment. It was the third post I submitted.

Thank you Gatspy for the suggestion.

And GaajoUnit, do you know something I don't about why I wasn't allowed access to the forum?

I hope to be respectful of people and hope they will return the courtesy. I am very new to Somali culture and life, so any words of advice on how to proceed engaging members in conversations? That is, beyond the obvious common sense.

Thanks again all!
