what did they do?If you witnessed fellow Somalis acting in a reer baadiye way? Today I witnessed two sets of ladies acting in such a way can you believe it?

and you guessed it without so much as a 'sorry'.Earlier on in the day I was on another bus ..two somali lady, one lady asks a white man what time it is and he tells her and smiles.I don't think she even said thanks, because the guy looked at her a bit surprised.Tolay dadkan maxaa ka si ah?

God forbid! Milk almost fell on the holy trousers of the cadaan man.So we basically lack manners? That same lady who asked the cadaan dude the time only said 'ohhh!' when the cadaan guy pointed to her little baby oo masaasadda ruxruxayey ( it's full of milk mind you ) sorryna way quudikariweyday? She just took the masaasad away.. some of that milk might have fallen on the man's trousers!

Thanks, please, iyo sorry maba isticmaalno Soomaalidu. There was a story in a town in Tennesee where Somalis work in a meat factory and this town being deep down South in the USA did not have much exposure to foreigners in the past. When huge influx of Somalis went there for work, the next thing that ccurred was a cultural clash. The complaints from city inhabitants were they don't say thank you, please, sorry, and not being very considerate. I would say the least you can tell them is to remind them we are in a foreign land and we should use those 'magic' words.
