Somaliland is a friend of Somalia. They are atleast keeping the refugee inside their country while punaniland throws them out.

ps I think you need a visa to enter Somaliland from Somalia so they are lucky to be there in the first place.

With a population of 3.5million refugees in the range of 150k - 200k. Predominantly Koonfurians but including ethiopians and eriterians. Who do you help? and with what?

All those who have family in the diaspora can afford renting a property as one of the commentors stated. Even those who have setup camp like in the picture have to pay rent on the land.

Charity begins at home. Rather then add salt to injury commit $1 dollar a month and that would cover the land rent for one of those huts!!!

Treating them like refugees won't give Somaliland a recognition. They are still labeled as "Internally Displaced Persons" rather than refugees. I wonder why.

Somalilanders love to talk about how great their country is, how rich economically and culturally they are and most of the time how politically superior and stable they are to Somalia but even with 3.5 million population and a booming economy they can't provide some sort of support for few 100's refugees. i just don't get it.
