calool xanuun badnaa, i miss my country wallahi. i would gladly trade living in this timeline to live in that. Somalia :som:
Nostalgia is a distortion on reality. An historical period must be considered in the context of that particular time-frame. Saxib, can you really live without all the mod-cons and freedoms for a pseudo-communist state. Its 2010. The world has changed.
Shut. Up.

Still waiting for others to rebuild the country so that you may once again destroy everything I see. :|

The likes of those who benefit off of the destruction of the republic are now singing the praises of justice and temperament are the same ones who cannot find closure and continue to the best of their ability to tarnish the former republic. A now traditional practice by these venomous former anarchists to plant the tree of hate into their offspring. It's quite amusing how they tell those who want to reminisce on the former glorious state to move foward, whilst their whole secession is clinging on to abolished colonial borders.

My gripe against the old Somali regime headed by MSM [AUN] is this: why did they had such appalling planning system? why invest everything on Mogadishu and neglect the rest of the nation? or maybe Mogadishu was be all and end all of that regime? :?

What a horrible place Mogadishu is now, how things have gone south quickly is pretty astonishing!

Bloody hell Diplock, you only skipped the amount of people the regime killed and found the planning system to have been a big problem.

I have nothing to gain from the destruction of the former Somalia Koonfuria. And I have always maintained a policy of not meddling in the internal affairs of Somalia. The reality remains that Somaliland has reaffirmed its independence, after the collapse of the Somali state. This union, which you, no doubt, still seem to espouses was built on shaky foundations and it was inevitable that as early as 1960 it was doomed to fail. Grandpakhalif, the independence of Somaliland is not hinged on a colonial yet arbitrarily drawn border but rather its built on a foundation of self-interest, peace, prosperity and indeed the decision to define its own destiny without relying on others to come to its aid.

Communist regimes generally have a policy of centralisation. This was not an exception to the former Somalia Koonfuria alone, elsewhere in the continent and beyond it was also present. Ultimately, this dualism and regional neglect was responsible for the regime(s) downfall.

Dee sxb, nobody cares about Xamar in the 80's. People have moved on and Xamar is back with its owners.

Btw, can you ask your cousin to declare SL as gone.

Thanks for posting the video Voltage.

Good memories. At least we have something to cling on to, even during our weakest moments. Somalia will always be in our hearts!

Someday, inshallah. :som:
