Ismacill Cali obokor (a junior general and very close friend of Cigaal) was also part of the coup. Cigal later said, I forgive them all but Ismaciil. He said Ismacill was my friend and someone I trusted.

Ismacil cali abokor

why than was General Kediye named the father of the revolution and he had more influence in the revolution council than Siyad barre, and why did Siyad barre feel threatened to execute them so quickly?

Gabeyre also took a major role in the coup because he carried out the many crucial acts, he was the one that arrested all the main figures and pms of the civillian government including his father in law Adden Abdulle, Cigaal at the time was planning to have Siad secretly deported and imprisonned.
After that it was clear that a powerstruggle was going considering SIad add the time was the highest figure in the millitary, Siad ended up assasinating Gabeyre and finaly executing the coup by eleminating the democratic system by declaring a communist government.
This is not to say that SIad barre himself did not plan the coup

There is an audio tape floating around on which Siad Barre talks about why he killed Qorsheel. He said, Qorsheel lived that long because he, Siad Barre told others not to touch him although his plans to sabotage the revolution were known before hand. He said he didn't wanna kill a good colleague of him and begged Qorsheel to come clean. I don't know if qorsheel attempted or was about to attempt a coup when he was killed and how he died. At least Siad admits he killed the guy. He also talks about a lot of other historical events under his rule, including his take on equality between genders, Islam and Arabic culture, socialism, etc.

He already had blood and the worst 'dambi' in his hands before he took power, would you expect a man like that to be sincere in his rule, he always put the communist ideology over any part of Somali or Islamic culture. The worst grounds for rule are idolizing figures such as Stalin and Mao, mass murderers who got away with their crimes; idolizers were largely present in the 60s.

There is no point dwelling on this issue. We can never know if Siad Barre was the orchestrator but what is certain that he was the man that lived to tell his tale.

Actually the two generals/conolels behind the 1969 Coup D'etat were Hawiye and Isaaq, Major General Salaad Gabeyre Kediye (hawiye), and General Aynashe (isaaq) led the coup. Said Barre was just sitting and waiting in the interior ministers house, while these guys planned, and executed it brilliantly, he couldn't do it without these guys. Gabeyre was subsequently named the "Father of the Revolution", and Barre became the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Council. but because Said Barre was threatened that they will over take the party, he executed them after two years.

this complete and utter non sense. this is revisionist history and it is complete fabrication and a shameless.

A cheap attempt of historical revisionism at its finest.

I have a 1966 (3 years prior to the coup) wrjtten interview where Jaalle Siyaad (RH) gives an indication that he would execute a coup if the civilian administration continued its current path.

The interview was conducted by an Italian reporter (working for the Italian newspaper Unita) where Jaalle Siyaad showed his displeasure of the aftermath of the 1964 war and the administration at that time. It was an interesting read considering the fact that many Somalis presume that the coup was a last-minute conjure instead of something that was lingering around since 1966.
