agreed they should teach them social subjects and how 2 solve conflicts wallah...inshallah one day i will teach in somalia
At Hargeisa University there is a degree available in Peace and Conflict resolutions. A new building is being currently constructed called the violence observatory centre. This will be like a policy institute undertaking research on conflict resolutions.

Also at the university of Hargeisa there are already the departments of Law, economics and business. There will be a new department of social sciences next year - this will including the study of political science.

That's a good point, yes these subjects (Maths, IT and engineering) do benefit us so many ways but in the long run we should work towards building a society that can co-exist with each other, and that cannot be done by having close minded ignorant people who only want to lead for the money and the power.

That’s sounds good idea, but i need my full PGCE qualification plus at least 2yrs teaching in a English University.
Hergaysa University looks very promising; I hope the rest of the universities in Somaia follow suit.

For a short term why don’t you take the TSOL course, is only four weeks long, and you qualify to teach English worldwide, you earn good money and can travel around the world to teach English. It costs about £250.

Why did the people who wrote the article choose those 4 other universities when they are not even listed? Mogadishu University appears to be the only University listed.

NIce 1 brother. I have only heard about the celta course, which many SOmalis are doing these days. But it is kind of expensive( almost 1 grand, lol). How does the structure of this course work though? Do i need to have four weeks off or something or is it like evenings?

ps.Have you started your pgce placement or just thinking about it. If so, how is it going?

btw, many SOmalis study social sciences, especially in the west. But you have to understand a degree in international relations is fkin crap in Africa as opposed to being qualified in medecine.

what's the point if everybody studies, medicine and Maths,
Because these subjects are career oriented ones unlike most social science subjects.
