First resignation hits the new government

Somalia's assistant minister for planning and international relationships Abdiazizi Lafta Gareen has resigned on Friday a day after his appointment.
Gareen announced his resignation on Friday at a press conference in the capital Mogadishu. He said his clan does not deserve such low post in the interim government.
Gareen was the minister for Livestock and Development in the former administration of Abdirashid Ali Sharmake, who resigned in September this year. He becomes the first person to have stepped down from the current administration of Prime Minister Mohamed.
According to the local media reports Gareen was appointed through a letter from the office of the Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed on Thursday.

Why did he accept the position in the first place if he is resigning after just a day? What is his credentials?

abdiaziz lafta gareen is from Digil-Mirifle clan who mainly inhabitants of southern Somalia, subclan Xariin, one the biggest and most powerful clan fron raxanweyn, Shatigaduud is also from Xariin. in m y opinion they deserve ministry post not assisting, but it is what is. ilaahey soomali ha iskukeeno.

What clan does he hail from?
He is from Bay region of Somalia. He did not resign because he did not want to be associated with the TFG but because the ministry he was chosen to lead is apparently not fit for his clan.
And he we were thinking the new prime minister of the TFG chose learned men who were not influenced by the tribal politics of clans.

Bay region of Somalia. He did not resign because he did not want to be associated with the TFG but because the ministry he was chosen to lead is apparently not fit for
his clan.

He is Digil and Mirifle. Is that specific enough for you. I guess he wanted his clan to protest but that probably wont happen as Al Shabab does not allow protests for seats in the useless TFG.
