I own land the size of Gibraltar

Postby Monk-of-Mogadishu » Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:07 pm

Don't mean to brag. :|

After the nth discussion with old papa he told me about the official sizing of his & his father's farms by previous administrations, totaling 600 hectares, or 6km squared of arable farmland, this is just what's on paper alone and doesn't include his grandfather's farms which are a bit more distant from the main farms and owned informally and they lack a direct water source.

6km squared total, 60% of it sits directly on a river source and the rest is no more than a few hundred feet from the river. 6km squared is a little over 4x the size of Monaco and over 10x the size of Vatican city. For a scale of size, you can google Gibraltar which is roughly 6km squared and it should be right.

This article I posted earlier has one of my farm's featured (at least the area) out of about 4 total farms, you can see what the area looks like.

He could always exile them, to be king he must become selfish and self centered. Even go as far as assassinating those siblings.

I only have 1 brother to share with, and we don't pass property down to women in my family.

What region?
Its right around Jamaame, I only know the location of 1 of my dad's river-side farms and the location of my grandfather's farm, I forgot the name of the others. My dad's primary farm is south of Jamaame following the river and sits on both sides of the main bridge connecting the river south of town.
Did your family get it before or after 1969?
Try....1860 :? ----If you were implying that Siad Barre airlifted my family, then.....no, I'm afraid he didn't. :)

Don't take this harshly but every major landowner in southern Somalia pre-war was Cali Salebaan or Cusman Maxamud let alone the rest of Majerteeniya. Who do you think ran those commercial farms initially? The eelaay?

You were back in Bari at that time and since Siad is not it, I only have to assume nepotism of the 60's with a young MJ minister saying I am 35 with 35 million shillings to my name. The land is not your family's legally.

You mean pre-1969. Thank you.

Ximan, no one thinks you are Sade. End the charade and stop embarrassing our name.
