^how do u like avicenna's book?
Who reads ibn sinaa?
Whats wrong with ibn sinaa?
What do you know about him?
He was influenced by Greek philosophers, especially by Aristoteles and made claims which can make you place you out of the islam such as 'Allah can't distinguish Ibrahim from Musa from Muhammed' and He doesn't know the specifics He only knows the generals and other perverted claims. Ibn Taymiyyah wrote a good book about him, i will give u tomorrow

This is what Imam Adhahabi (very famous hadith scholar) said about his in Siyaar Acalaam An-Nubalaa ( a book with the biografies of scholars)

وله كتاب الشفاء وغيره وأشياء لا تحتمل وقد كفره الغزالي في كتاب المنقذ من الضلال

“He has a book called Ash-Shifaa’ (The Cure), it contains in it things that are not possible to tolerate, and Al-Ghazaalee had indeed made takfeer of him in his book Manqidh Min Ad-Dalaal.”

Watch this, it's a good lecture about philosophers

Samadoon, i am not familiar with ibn rush or ibn Khalduun, i heard their names here and there. Unlike many others i don't read or take knowledge from everyone, i only read the books of those who are known for their solid aqeedah. Ibn sina didn't have solid aqedah and made outrageous claims.

abdalla,

I'm not familiar with any of his work pertaining to Islam. Just that he was a very famous scientist and doctor, and I was checking out his work in medicine.

That video is an hour long bro, don't have the time

A bit of advice, dont read every book written by some 'shaykh' do a bit of research so you know who you're dealing with.

watch when you have time

Got it

However Cannon of Medicine, is mostly talking about medicine and sciences, and isn't going into depth about anything religous

abdalla, ibn sinna, ibn khalduun were known for their scientific discoveries/theories more than their philosophical gigs which often strayed them from minhaaj al-salaf al-saalix.
but if we discredited each islamic scientists based on their aqeedah misfortunes then we will be left out with no Islamic scientific heritage to speak of.

p.s:i dont take knowlege from these texts, but it is refreshing to read classics every now and then and try to spot the mistakes for ur self rather than have someone rely it to u through DVD or lecture.

Thank you for the compliment. All i can say is that i am a new user and i live in Sweden. The little time i have spent on this forum has shown me that qabil heavily influences the majority of the users. So for me to conduct healthy debates and arguments here, i rather choose not to say my qabil. All somalis are my brothers and sisters because here in the west people dont see hawiye or isaaq they see somali.
from my gathered intelligence you are marexan.
