Muslim/ Arab leaders are worse than Xoolo

Postby LobsterUnit » Sun Dec 05, 2010 2:32 pm

The US embassy cables show Western diplomats pursuing with dedication their people's interests. For that they must be respected. By contrast, some Arab politicians are inviting invasion, bombing and conspiring against fellow citizens. May be Arabs today must ask not only how they are ruled, but also by whom.

Sex, lies and diplomatic cables http://english.aljazeera.net/indepth/op ... 56495.html

It's because they're not held accountable through democracy.

Yea they are running dictatorships where they answer to no one, and are kept in power by western powers.

Fact: In Egypt the biggest proponent of democracy is the Muslim Brotherhood

Unfortunately, if they are allowed democracy they'll elect radical parties like the Muslim Brotherhood, like the Palestinians elected hamas. So America cannot be blamed for looking out for her interests by keeping the allied dictators in power, and toppling the enemy ones.

I feel like that policy radicalizes the average man. While most people are not radical when western countries keep in power hated leaders it radicalizes the other groups even more and radicalizes the average guy, who otherwise would probably have not become radicalized

MB are not radicals or a force for democracy, the problem is not whether people can vote them in goverment but whether they can get rid of them and for that to happen Egypt's constitution must be amended and adhered to. This is what USA should be encouraging to happen. MB are growing in popularity because they are the only credible grassroot opposition to the regime. They cannot take Egypt forward.
