PM had Discussion and Working lunch with senior commander

Postby ahmad guray » Sun Dec 05, 2010 8:03 pm

The officers of the transitional government of Somalia have said on Sunday that they took over new military bases controlled by Al-shabab fighters in north Mogadishu. Heavy fighting between the transitional government troops backing the African Union troops AMISOM and Al-shabab fighters had restarted in several neighborhoods in north of the capital Mogadishu where both sides exchanged heavy gunfire on Saturday afternoon. General Mohamud Mohamed Saney, one of the high officials of the transitional government of Somalia has held press conference for the journalists in war zones today saying that they took over more military bases from Al-shabab forces in the areas. On the other hand Sheik Abu Musab, the spokesman of Al-shabab fighters had also held press conference for the stringers in the capital through the telephone saying that they gained success in the latest clashes against the AMISOM and Somali government troops. “The troops of the government tell journalists that they seized the former interior affairs ministry of Somalia. But we are talking with journalists at the house of the former mayor of Mogadishu Mohamed Omar Al-shabab (Dere). So you should go to the front lines,” said Abu Musab The statement from both Al-shabab and the transitional government troops comes as there had been clashes in north of the capital for over the past recent days. PM Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed had lunch with senior army commander ..A buffet lunch concluded the day's agenda with the participation of the commander of the Army, Senior Officers and all Ranks.
