Happy New Year

Postby Navy9 » Mon Dec 06, 2010 7:59 pm

Today is the last day of the Islamic Hijri year 1431H, may Allah make the next year a blissful one for all of us. :)

Hijri calendar starts from when Prophet Mohamed emigrated from Makka to Yathrib (Medina) (ie 1431 years ago) and I think during the times of Caliph Omar ibn Al Khattab r.a this Hijri calendar was adopted and is a lunar based system!

Sanaad wanaagsan :D
