Galka'o — Tensions between clan militias have risen to villages around Galka'o town of Mudug region in north Somalia, just as Galmudug State accused Puntland for the mastermind of the disagreement of militias, reports said on Tuesday.
Fighting between the pastoralist militias broke out in Balorale and Bo'ole villages in Mudug region as reports indicate that the people had the fears of possible clashes.
The fighting came as the two clan militias disagreed over the ownership of farming land in the region killing 14 while more others wounded during yesterday's fighting. Most of the dead or wounded people were warriors.
People were rushed to hospital in south and north of Galka'o town according to witnesses in the town.
On the other hand officials of Galmudud State had talked more about the fighting between the two sides saying that the semi-autonomous region of Puntland was behind the fighting.
Ahmed Mohamud Hassan known as (Basto), the deputy minister of the foreign affairs of Galmudud State told reporters more of Puntland troops commited intimidations against the people pointing out that they would never accept such actions.
