About 100 mothers have held meeting in the Somali capital Mogadishu and called for rivals to halt the continuing clashes going on the in the Somali capital Mogadishu very soon to save and respect the civilians.
There had been deadly clashes between the transitional government of Somalia backing the African Union troops AMISOM and Al-shabab fighters that continued in several districts in north and south of the capital recently.
“Every body knows that the fighting never brings benefits except dying civilians or injuring. So we are kindly asking to all those who are fighting to cease it. We are saying to you please and please stop fighting. Stop killing the mothers, children and the others. Change the fighting to dialogue,” said one of the mothers.
Hawo Fanah, one of the mothers held the meeting in the capital had expressed concern over the shelling that often cause civilians casualties saying that they will not stop talking and seeking peace until the clashes in south and central Somalia halted.
Khadijo Mohamed, who was among the other women asserted her speech as saying they were very sorry for the clashes going on in Mogadishu demanding the quick stop and the statement from the Somali women comes as there had been clashes in the Somali capital Mogadishu over the recent days.
