TFG tackles corruption, orders troops to block Sea port

Postby Coeus » Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:52 pm

armed vehicles of government troops have hindered Mogadishu’s main seaport functions continuing and ordered the staff to stop tasks, reports said.

The forces entered into the main part of the seaport ordering the porters and other employees to halt functions they had there, a porter said.

The troops who have taken the move that was stopped the task of Somalis international and biggest seaport, Mogadishu are loyal to former warlord and member of Somali parliamentarians now and he is nicknamed Furuh.

Speaking to the local F.M station in Mogadishu, Mohamed Jama’ Furuh told that the seaport was almost closed till corruption about the income in the sea port is corrected.

Mr. Furuh used to control the Mogadishu seaport before the courts of the Islamic union who toppled the warlords in Mogadishu early 2006.

On the other hand, Mogadishu seaport is one three strategic areas where AMISOM keeps and also one the two main income sources of the T.F.G, but it’s something mystery about Mohamed Jama’ Furuh’s involvement since it’s thought to be opening new face to the warlords who are in the capital of Somalia.

There is any word from the government and the African union peacekeeping forces in Mogadishu about this story.

Well he is definetly a warlord that is in the parlament. But i believe that he has taken part of Farmaajo anti corruption plan and i believe he was ordered by the goverment to do this. Corruption is a big problem and the people at the port are only loyal to him. So its good for him to send this message.
