A TFG insider just told me shabab flag is waving high in Luuq.

If true, it looks like a domino effect in progress. It is so sweet for the shababs, instead of killing/robbing they got the whole militia and their weapons on their side. That must take a lot persuasion skills. Apparently Hisz is in disarray and each commander is doing what best suits him and his men.

That certainly is surprising. I knew he was open to cordial relations with a range of warlords and smug politicians unlike Hassan Turki, which is why I always wanted this fart sidelined. However I didn't know he'd go as far as to arm them. Who, for example has he armed? I'm unfamiliar with the new class of Hawiye-Islamist warlords, I'm familiar only with the classical warlords.
All of Cirfo's men who didn't leave. Cirfo went back to Galgaduud and joined ASWJ but a bunch of his men stayed behind. But were sidelined. Most of em are married to local girls, and asked to be pardoned. But now looks like Aweys has called on them, and are with him.

But Aweys is in trouble. As of now Xisbul Islam troops are in buundhada Afgooye, Dheexda, Ceelasha, Lafoole and Cabsiyo

Al Shabaab are on the north west, and south of all those locations. If fighting started they would attack from 3 fronts. and since most of Xamar is under them, they would cut off the line between the Xisbul Islam in Ceelasha and Xamar.

Waryaa - Its been known for a long time that the tiny little division in Luuq was going to switch Shabaab in no time. What is the word on the situation near Banaadir?

ANY UPDATES?
Nothing too new, no fighting yet. But Aweys had brought back the old mooryaan. He pretty much armed any Habar Gedir who was willing to fight for him. All of the old militiamen who were sidelined are now Xisbul Islam
now we are in for a long ride man...if HG is bk expect the downfall of shabab

they aren't gonna attack from Xamar side. They're just gonna limit Xisbul Islam getting reinforcements

one speculation is that there will be no fighting at all and shababs will come out victorious with more weapons and men. According to some, Sheik sharif hates Aweys to death and doesn't want him near his fragile government - a personal vendetta between the two. Likewise, sh. awes will never take orders from sharifka.

Shabaab is working on getting Xisbul Islam members to join them. That's why no attack. They wanna get XI commanders on their side who are borderline now. Then they will either takeover XI or attack.

The situation is still scary and could go off at any minute, but as of now no fighting

my prediction was 100% accurate! I told you sooo,

shabelle.net
Arintaani ayaa ah guul in badan ay ku taamayeen Xarakada Al Shabaab kuwaasi oo sanad ka hor bilaabay inay kala jajabiyaan Ururka Xisbul Islaam, hase ahaatee waxaa la is weydiinayaan halka uu cirib dhigi doono Xasan Daahir Aweys oo qaar ka mid ah Al Shabaab aysan la dhacsaneyn siyaasadiisa, waxaana suura gal ah in Xasan Daahir siyaasadiisa ay meesha uga baxdo si la mid ah sidii loo waayay siyaasadii Sheekh Xasan Turki uu horay ugu mid ahaa Xisbiga balse ku biiray Al Shabaab kaasi oo warkiisa iyo howlgaladiisa ay u dambeeyeen Maalintii uu ku biiray Al Shabaab.
Al Shabaab sidoo kale waxaa u suura gashay inay gacanta ku dhigaan deegaano iyo degmooyin in badan ay ku taamayeen in ay Maamulaan oo ay ka mid tahay deegaanka Ceelasha biyaha halkaasi oo xiligaan uu ka jiro ganacsi xoogan, waxaana lacagta kaga soo xarooneysa shirkadaha ka howlgala halkaasi Al Shabaab ay u arkaan mid kaabeysa dhaqaalahooda.
Saraakiishii Xisbiga ee galabta ku milmay AL Shabaab ayaa horay iyagoo u heysta inay yihiin kuwa isku kalsoon waxaa ay diideen inay ku biiraan Al Shabaab, balse waxaa ay xaajadu ku xumaatay markii Maamulo ka tirsanaa Xisbiga oo ay isku haleynayeen si la tashi la’aan ah ay ugu biireen Al Shabaab, waxaana Maamuladaasi Baladweyne, kuwii ka jiray degmooyin ka tirsan gobolka Gedo, Bay iyo Maamuladii ka jiray ilaa 4 deegaan oo hoostaga Tooratoorow kuwaasi oo dhamaantood hoostagayay Xisbul Islaam.
Talaabadii ugu dambeysay ee Xalay Maamulkii Xisbul Islaam ee degmada Luuq uu ugu biiray AL Shabaab ayaa la sheegay in ay soo dadajisay ku biiritaanka Xasan Daahir iyo Ciidamadiisa ay uga mid noqdeen Xarakada Al Shabaab.
