Islamist militias of Hisbul-Islam headed by Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys have decided to defend by fighting with the other Islamist militias of Al-shabab after they had a sudden meeting in Afgoi of lower Shabelle region last night, reports said.
Al-shabab seized many villages in lower Shabelle region south the capital Mogadishu where Hisbul-Islam used to control before and the move came as both militias fought with the control to those areas as Burhakaba of Bay and Torotorow ; many villages in lower Shablle.
Officials of Hisbul-Islam angered at the Shabab’s enlargement to their control and saying there was no other alternative to defend their control as Afgoi and Elasha-biyaha where Mogadishu’s people fled to 2 years ago.
The remaining district in lower Shabelle that Hassan’s group control is Afgoi and it’s the said that Mr. Aweys says, “We will die for Afgoi or win from Shabab”.
The meeting that occurred in that district was decided to resist Al-shabab and they were patrolling in the way that links Mogadishu to Afgoi having armed vehicles all night.
Al-shabab already told there could not be other power saying only Sharif, Shabab and Sha’ab that means the government, Al-shabab and the civilians and this seems that they are making their speech true, residents said.
Somali government is almost silent to the tense between its oppositions although they have called Sheikh Hassan Dahir, head of Hisbul-Islam to come on the negation table, but Shiekh Hassan’s group is in its the worst condition since it is too difficult for them to fight and bring victory over that war.
