Hassan Turki was never at war with Alshabab. Infact, he was the one who made the shabab admin in Kismayo. He disagreed with them when they didn't hand over power as planned to XI.But he never wanted to wage war, it was Ahmed Madobe who stupidly went against his wishes and thought he could defeat alshabab with small militias. Now he is working with Ethiopians and Kenya, to no avail. Turki joined Shabab because he was always ideologically more closer to them than Aweys.

Respect for the elders, I would say. Free him NOW.
I agree walle, it's disheartening seeing old man chained to a log like that specially when those who chained you up are your former student.

Turki Locked Up Remix

Im steady tryna find a motive,
Why do what i do?,
Freedom aint gettin no closer,
No matter how far i go,
My Caano Boore is stolen, no registration,
Shababs patrolin, and now they done stop me,
And i get locked up,
They won't let me out, they won't let me out, (im locked up)
They won't let me out no, they wont let me out, (im locked up)
They won't let me out, they won't let me out, (im locked up)
They won't let me out no, they won't let me out

Will I survive all the fights and the darkness?
Trouble sparks, they tell me home is where the heart is, dear departed
I shed turki tears and couldn't sleep good
for multiple years, witness peers catch gunshots
Nobody cares, alshabaab ban us
They'd rather see us locked in chains, please explain
why they can't stand us, is there a way for me to change?
Or am I just a victim of things I did to maintain?
I need a place to rest my old head
with the little bit of homeboys that remains, cause all the rest dead (refering to ras kambooni)
Is there a spot for us to roll, if you find it
I'll be right behind ya, show me and I'll go

Hassan Turki, Dhulyadneen and the Ras Kambooni crew joined Shabaab. He's an elder in the group and Dhulyadneed is a commander. Amin Amir is off on this one

Sheekh Hassan Turki was neutral in the conflict between Raaskambooni and Al-Shabaab. He has told his brother-in-law Ahmed Madoobe to abandon some of his claims and accept reconcialation and he has called Al-Shabaab to honour the previous agreement and accept mediation. He has also called the rest of the Islamic scholars to mediate the feud between the two groups and called all groups to "save the blood of the Mujaahidiin".

When the fighting erupted, he went to the bush and did not want to be part of the conflict. He was ailing in those days and was very ill. What people need to know is just before the fighting between Raaskambooni and Shabaabka started, many members of Raaskambooni brigades left Hisbul-Islaam and joined Shabaabka because they could not trust the project that was led by Axmed Madoode. Men like Sheekh Cabdiqani Kabojecel were in the news and warned his fellow cousins not to follow Axmed Madoobe.

Lately, when Al-Shabaab and Raaskambooni sat together and made the agreement in Baidoa, the rest of his faction was given top posts in Al-Shabaab. Men like Sheekh Mohamed Dulyadayn and others were given top posts within HSHM.

Every thing that I wrote was in the Somali news and there was nothing hidden about it.

If you look at the latest Wikileaks cables, you would notice that Meles Zenawi only worried about Sheekh Hassan Turki and Sheekh Muqtaar Roobow. You would not find any other leader that was mentioned in those Wikileaks cables. I think Sheekh Hassan Turki has made his name in History.

You have Aweys on the boat too. Let's see how things go from here.
