I don't think MJ or Ogaden was mentioned walaal, only Habar Magaadle, Geri Koombe and Marehan

we only take Futuh Al habash as our source.
MJ wasn't mentioned because HARTI was mentioned as a group. Also Hawiye was mentioned in the book as well ..

grandpakhalif. I don't know what you are implying but Imam Ahmed's ethnicity wasn't even mentioned let alone clan. There was another Ahmed Guray though that goes by the name Ahmed Guray Husayn and he was Habar Magaadi somali - Isaaq as mentioned in the book.

I have read the whole book. The only clans mentioned were.

Habar Magaadi - Isaaq , Marehan, Geri, Harti were mentioned as collectively strangely though they must have been refering to the Warsangeli since the book says "The harti people who lived near Maydh" (Sanaag) , Harla (whatever that is), Hawiye, Yibir, and some other weird ass names.

Oday Darood is buried in Sanaag which is why the book mentioned that area. "Harti" referred to ALL the Harti tribes, not just Warsangeli.

And guess where Majerteen and the other Harti tribes live/ lived? Right next to Sanaag

If the writer wanted to refer to Warsangeli alone he would've mentioned them by their tribe name not used the name Harti to describe ONE clan. Stop being silly .

I think Harti was mentioned as a collective group because back then there weren't enough of them to segment off into smaller clans. They also lived much closer together than they do now.

Considering the fact that Marexan/sade is the son of Darood ,not really.. What else were they supposed to be called in the book - "Darood" ?

I seriously think a quarter of our clan was wiped out and Geri Koombe lost a significant amount of their clan... wow.

gemini is correct majerteen, dashiishe and warsangeli waa ilmo bah-majerteen but word is that dhulbhantes mother breast fed dashiishe as a child.

About the book fatuuhul habash,it mentions marexaan, bartire, harti and geri koombe....We were lumped up with the laandheer bartire at the time, they were dominant over the langaab cagdheer at the time.
Another thing about the book is it throws marexaan under habar-magaadle grouping it with isaaq :?

My confusion is this: why are they called bah-majeerteen? habar-majeerteen waa maxey?
