I don't have much guidance but this website; and I really need your help and guidance. I am 23 year old Somali male who is in his final year as a medical student in a prestigious university. I was born and have always lived in the suburbs in Northern England. I don’t know any Somali’s and as you know most live in south of England so my neighbourhood is just White English people.

So I’m getting ready to graduate from medical school Alhamdulillah, but now my parents have started bringing up talks about marriage. I haven't told them about my intentions yet, but I honestly don't find Somali women in anyway attractive, no offense. As I said I grew up in a white area, so it's only normal that I only like them and find them attractive.

What shall I do? Friends please help me and give me advice. Please don’t attack me.

I am somali, its not my fault I grew up in a white neighbourhood and didn't integrate with somali's.

I was just being honest, of the somali girls I seen and from what I feel and know. I don't think a somali girl will be compatible with me and I don't feel any attraction to them. Thats my honest opinion walal.

I can't read somali because no one taught me, somali teacher? There are teachers? I have never seen a somal in my neighbourhood anyway so maybe thats why I never learnt.
