How did Siad Barre sell of the Ogaden when he never had control over the Ogaden,

What do two disagree parties do when they want to make a truce ?
One of them has to backdown from his claim that is what MSB did.

Siad barre and his counterpart never made an agreement to sell the ogaden or something. The agreement was a peace agreement that would ensure that they shouldnt attack eachother or support the rebels in the country of his counterpart. Somalia officially never accepted the colonial borders, this is known for both kenya, ethiopia and Somalia.

MSB did make and agreement and before flying to Djibouti called all the Ogaden elites in his govt and told them that he has been supporting them for too long and it was time for Somalia not to bear the burden and he left off for Djibouti where he me Mengistu.
They reached a truce and the Ogaden was the sacrificial lamb.
Prior this period corruption and nepotism was rampant and the country was facing economic strains and rebel groups were helping Ethiopian forces to venture into Somalia's international recognised boundaries.

MSB thought that in handing out the Ogaden things would normalise but sadly things culminated into disaster.

sxb because the ones in gedo are brainwashed marehan youth who are against halganka Dolow. They don't want to displace and kill their own youth. plus Al shabab is multi-tribal one tribe cannot fight them alone, they have so many xurufs and qashin in their ranks who will immediately come to back up the marehan youth. so its very hard to defeat them

I'm from the OGaden and disgusted by some of the puppets in the Somaliland/Puntland/TFG governments, I do however support independence of Somaliland, because Ethiopia would be weakened by it.

1. They would have less influence in Somaliland, as SOmaliland can befriend any nation on the world when they're recognized unlike now, where they depend alot on ethiopia.

2. This would stirr things up in Ethiopia as they would also want independence (Oromo etc.)

Thats just an OG perspective, the stronger Somaliland gets the less ass licking some of its gov. officials will do, I mean look at Djibouti, Kenya, Yemen and any other country = ONLF is able to walk there freely. I think the same will happen if Somaliland gets independence

I believe the biggest idiots on this website are abdi ismail, patriot and grandpakhalif, how can you turn against one another when u enemies are shown fueling the divide and conquer. All you have to mention is Kismaayo, the ogaden and somaliland and these idiots will get busy eating each other while the lice infested raw meat eater is laughing in the background.
