most cases is not just a bad habit. they dont want to deal with their problems and they dont know they even getting to themselves bigger problems.
I know a kid that drinks to get away from his problems, dude went from a xayi hard working to no job having alco.

horta does anyone know any somali that defeated addiction to alcohol? cus I never seen any.
I know one kid who quit and became the biggest wadaad. I hope he never goes back to that poison. He broke his shackles ninkaas. This wadaad helped him a lot though and provided him the support he needed. I think the first step to quiting is changing friends. Second step is probably changing environment. If I ever develop a destructive habit I will run to Somalia and herd camels in the baadiye.

Waryaa/Omar

He was a kid when he finished the quran, came to the states and got caught up with the nonsese until he was left for dead body shattered with bullets, anywho he wanted to change his lifestyle and came to our dugsi and started teaching us quraan, very kind polite guy who never hit us. But every now and than he would go sipping and I guess that held him back for several months etc.

Vybzkartel, It can be done with change of friends and lifestyle but unfortunately not alot of people have principles like that now days. There's a difference between social drinkers and alcos in my opinion and I also think the former will eventually end becoming the latter at some point, so it's good to kick the habit while one must can.
