Breaking news: Another major bomb attack in Uganda (40 dead)

Postby Coeus » Tue Jan 04, 2011 12:13 pm

More than 40 people are feared dead after an explosion went off in a bus near the border between Uganda and South Sudan at Nimule.
The bomb cut off peoples’ necks, legs, hands, and shattered the bodies of the passengers, according to local officials.

"Over 40 passengers both Ugandans and Sudanese could have been killed in the blast," said Moses Okello, an eyewitness in Nimule.

The police in Nimule say it cannot rule out the terrorist attack now.

The Al Shabaab terrorists warned to launch attacks targeting civilians in Uganda, the country which sent peacekeeping troops to Somalia. On July 11th, last year Al Shabaab fighters killed 76 people and injured hundreds in Kampala twin bomb blasts.

Blood, parts of broken human flesh have been seen in Nimule, the site of the bomb blast.

Yeah this is way too far north to be al-Shabaab, though I suppose it's possible
