Ahmed Mohammed Silanyo, the president of the break away republic of Somaliland on Saturday has sacked two ministers of his government.

Mohammed Yasin Hassan, Somaliland’s minister of fishing and sea resources and Abdirazak Ibrahim Mohammed, the minister of telecommunications were fired from the ministerial portfolios today, according to an official decree from the office of Somaliland’s president.
The president has designated Abdullahi Jama’ Geljir, who was previously Somaliland’s minister of information, to be fishing and sea resources minister.
“Dr. Ahmed Hashi Odey, who was formerly livestock and environment minister, was named to be the minister of telecommunications”
Mr. Silanyo has also nominated the replacements of other ministers. Ahmed Abdi Habsade was named as the minister of information whileDr. Abdi Aw Dahir was designated to be livestock and environment minister of Somaliland.
It is still unknown the motive behind this step taken the leader of Somaliland.
It is the first time, the president of the break republic of Somaliland fires or reshuffles his cabinet since he took the office in July last year.
