She has no point. Esspecially when you consider that there are not Christians here on the general page. I think it just makes her feel good to degrade other faiths.

Proud

You didn't completely understand me because I explained it poorly. When I said from human inception, I meant from the point of time when humans were created. Even today, you do not find the Qur'an in all parts of the world. There are many places where there are virtually no Muslims, or so few, you never see or hear from them. Travel to Laos, for example. Many parts of Laos have no Qur'ans, no Muslims.

But that's not my point, I meant from the beginning of time. There have been large swatchs of territory which had no exposure to Islamic teaching for thousands of years. If it was so important, why is that?

I thought this quote of yours was insightful:

"I would like to elaborate about the above verse by saying that had Allaah so willed, all humans would have embraced one religion by instinct and original creation (Arabic: al-Fitrah). But in this case they would cease to be human in the sense we know them – their social life would be something similar to bees or ants, and in spirit they would be like angels who are disposed by creation to embrace truth and obey all that they are commanded to by Allaah. There is no room for conflict or disagreement among them. But Allaah in His wisdom has chosen to create humans otherwise. They have to acquire knowledge rather than have it as an inherent endowment; they have the volition to choose what to act and to weigh out possibilities and opposites; they are not predestined to behave in a fixed way. They vary widely as to abilities, capacity for acquiring knowledge and preferences. "

In fact, if Islamic fundamentalists had their way, we humans would be like bees or ants. They do want us all to follow the same social systems. Some look all the way down to style of dress. They would love to see a world in which we all lead exactly the same Islamic lifestyles. Take that further, they believe (or purport to believe) that that is Gods will. That we all line up like tin soldiers and conform exactly to the Qur'an and the Hadith. Islamic scholars tend to be dour, tend to discourage anything that isn't focussed on Islam. Leisure time is essentially considered Makrooh -ä to be discouraged if not forbidden.

My point about the bad is, you can't cite the bounty of the Earth as evidence of Gods ´mercy without citing the evils of the Earth as evidence of Gods viciousness. And since God created all and all circumstance, he is responsible for the good AND the bad. You can not say he is all powerful and then wash his hands of the negatives under the disclaimer of free will. That's a cop out.

Some contradictions in the Bible:

If God created Eve and Adam (first human beings on Earth) and Eve and Adam had three children, Cain, Abe and Lot, and Cain killed Abe: whom Cain or Lot married to have children. The Bible says that Cain left the place and joined another tribes. What? Where those tribes came from? It was supposed the only human beings on Earth were Eve, Adam, Cain and Lot Rolling Eyes

It's supposed that God created all the laws of the Universe (Gravity Law, etc). So, what was doing Jesus while walking on the waters, contradicting the laws of God? This is a very anti-God behaviour.

Jesus resucitated Lazarus. Where's Lazarus now? I can't see him around...

"I didn't came here to bring peace and love", said Jesus, "but wars and hate". What a pacifist!!!!

According to the Bible, Noah and all those guys, Abraham, etc, used to live about 900 years, 600 years. According to science, a common guy in those times used to live 40-45 years. Did the jews called a year to a month or something?

And more to come.

The Bibble is a really bad and boring book. I never could end it.

SOmalisiz

With all do respect , you need not to talk about the Bible and its contradictions here, as I see there are no christians in this site who are trying to defend it or intrested in comparing the Quran and the Bible.

The other point is that you open up the Quran for criticism specially from those Islamophobes in the site, and there are few of them here, plz dont fall into their trap and leave the Bible alone, we muslims gain nothing by defaming it anyway, not in this site at least!

Now who on this net would bash Islam? When everyone here is so respectful toward other beliefs and systems and people? Hard to imagine.
