Father drowned in bath while wife cheated on him with his own son

A son had a hotel romp with his dad's new wife while his father mysteriously drowned in the bath, an inquest heard yesterday.
Father Ray Lee, 52, died while his son, also called Ray, was away from home having a secret affair with his second wife Ilona Lee, 38.
Ex-bank manager Ilona started the affair with her 23-year-old stepson after he moved in to share their home.
She called her husband of five years 'Big Ray' and stepson 'Little Ray' as they all lived together.
Mother-of-two Ilona and Little Ray had a secret night away - then returned home to find Big Ray was lying face down in cold water.
A police investigation was launched into the mystery death but an inquest heard the reason why he drowned 'remain unclear'.
Mother-of-two Ilona told the inquest: 'Before my partner's death I had been having an affair with his son Little Ray.
'At the beginning there was nothing going on between us, but the relationship became deeper. I'm one 100 per cent sure Big Ray didn't know about the relationship I was having with Little Ray.
'Little Ray and I continued to see each other after Big Ray's death.'
The trio were living together in Pontypool, South Wales. In the hours before the father died, Little Ray asked Ilona for a lift to his mother's house - sparking a row with his father, who wanted to go too.
Ilona said in a statement: 'Big Ray wasn't happy he wasn't coming.'
After visiting Little Ray's mother, the pair visited a friend before checking into a hotel.
Ilona admitted: 'Little Ray and I stayed at my friend's until the early hours of the morning, when we booked into a hotel and spent the night together.'
They drove home the following afternoon and found father-of-four Big Ray dead in the bath.
Ilona said: 'It was apparent Big Ray was dead. His head was underwater and he wasn't moving.'
Police treated Ray's death as suspicious and questioned 25 witnesses. But detectives were unable to prove a crime had been committed.
The Newport inquest heard Big Ray was 'on a cocktail of prescription drugs' for severe back pain after he was crushed by a dumper truck in an industrial accident in 1990.
He mixed his medication with cocaine, Ecstasy and amphetamines for pain relief, the hearing was told.
A post mortem examination showed Big Ray drowned, and drugs may have affected his consciousness and judgement when the incident happened in October 2008.
Recording an open verdict, Gwent coroner David Bowen said: 'The exact circumstances of Mr Lee's death remain unclear.'
